Good for PriceFeb 05, 2010 For the price I think this is a good buy. A couple pre-drilled holes didn't line up quite right that didn't really make it much harder to get together. It's sturdy and the lid is my favorite. The hinges keep it from dropping down. It looks really nice in my country style dinning room. I am running low on space to keep toys and it looks like a little bench in the nook where I placed it.

Great Toy Box!Jul 21, 2009 I purchased two of these for our grandchildren. Both mothers love them, and have asked where I purchased them so they can buy another one & friends want to buy them also. Two nice safety features are: (1) the lid closes slowly so you don't have to worry about it dropping on the children and (2) there are slots and airholes in the box so that even if the child hides in the box, you do not have to worry about suffocation. The Lipper toy chests are very well built and I would definitely recommend them.

GarbageMar 30, 2009 This chest is proof that there is no way to get off cheap, when looking for a place to store your children's toys. While there may be some actual real wood on this thing, most of it is pressboard or other poor product. The hinges are held in by small screws, two of which have already fallen out of their pre-drilled threads. We had to replace them with larger screws. I doubt these will hold, either, as the wood is of poor quality. As for fitting--the cover is askew and impossible to align properly because it is predrilled. My advice is to spend a little more. You'll be happy you did. It would have been nice to keep this for another use, but the minute he outgrows it, we'll use it for firewood.

Very good toy chestNov 10, 2008 I like this toy chest: it has enough room to put away toys, it looks nice and and it is very safe for the babies. The reason I didn't give it a 5-star is because it has some unpleasant smell that does not go away with time.

Lipper International Toy ChestSep 06, 2008 I purchased this chest (in white) for my 22 month old daughter. Her room is small, so I wanted something that wasn't too big and obtrusive. It is the perfect size! It looks to be well built and is kid safe. The lid has safety hinges and closes slowly, so as to not pinch those little fingers. I also like the fact that there are breath holes in the back, should your little one decide to climb in and "hide". My daughter is over the moon about this toy chest. The first few days, she wanted to take naps on it.. We pretended, naturally. She loves this. It is a nice piece of furniture and a happy addition to her nursery. I highly recommend it.
