The piece is well-built and arrives well-packaged and fully assembled. Do be careful of the color, however. I have red cherry bedroom pieces from several different collections and I was sure this color would be close to something, but it really wasn't. Other reviewers have described it as "very red", I would not call it red, but more like "orange" compared to my other furniture. Despite that, I'm still happy with the purchase. My other Louis Philippe style nightstand was nearly $400, and this one holds it's own at a fraction of the cost.

I'm very happy with the way this item was shipped. It came packaged in about 30 pounds of cardboard, it took me 20 minutes to remove it from it's cocoon.
This is a high quality piece, the cherry is a little brighter red than my other pieces of cherry-finish furniture in my room, but that by no means detracts from it's beauty. The hidden drawer just below the top is perfect for my remote controls. The drawers pull smoothly, they're not on metal glides but I prefer it to be that way. I'm angry with myself for not buying this sooner.

I contacted the seller for a tracking number using their online customer service. There were no issues getting that information using the Amazon order number. The night stand arrived via FedEx, was securely wrapped, protected and covered with plastic so the rain would not damage the contents. No assembly required!!! The nightstand matches my bedroom furniture beautifully. May buy another shortly.

A very good piece of Furniture but............Jan 21, 2009
The Louis Philippe nightstand is a very solid wood table with a great hidden drawer. There was no assembly required. It was the perfect size for me. The picture from Amazon and the printed dimensions were the main selling points for me. However the picture shows a very attractive dark wood and I have other cherry pieces that look the same as the picture but people should know that it's very red, especially on the top. It should have shown that in the table displayed. I still love it but would probably have looked further if I had known. I'm still going to go on enjoying it. Margaret Cook
