Warning: Very poor productFeb 15, 2009 WARNING: Do not believe what you read in the positive reviews.
I bought the desk, as well as the side desk and file cart. I depended on the very positive reviews. These are truly terrible, terrible products, and all three pieces of furniture had fatal flaws. Now I have to return them and find something else. The fabrication, cut, fit, and fasteners display shabby workmanship and cheap materials. I'm a decent carpenter but I cannot fix fasteners that break under moderate pressure, badly warped tops, and badly ill-fitting pieces. How bad? The rails for the drawers are so far apart that the drawers just drop through. The fasteners are very cheap pot metal and three of eight failed in one piece of furniture.
I notice that the reviews tend to be old, while I'm buying in 2009. Perhaps once upon a time this was a good product, but no longer. You will be very disappointed.

Nice aesthetics, poor design.Dec 15, 2008 I love the look of this desk and it looks great in my small San Francisco apartment. However...the keyboard tray appears to have as much thought as a 1st grade science project. The side drawer, which I love, does not work very well as a support for the keyboard. Immediately after assembly, there were repeated derailments or collapses while working. The problem has only increased as use has increased. So once again, it looks great, but the design could have used a little more structural support. As a heads up, you'll save (pause...keyboard collapsed) about $60 if purchased at your local Target versus online.
Computer DeskAug 08, 2008 Item came quickly, but it smelled of mildew. Still has a hint of it although I gave it a good cleaning, hoping it will eventually air out! I don't like the idea of buying items that were damaged by water, won't buy online from this store again.
Review of mission style computer tableNov 21, 2007 This is a great computer table, made of real wood. It could serve a variety of purposes. My only complaint about the table is that it came with NO instructions!! The pieces came numbered, so it was evident that instructions were intended. Once I figured it out, the assembly was not too difficult.

Came together in the end, builder bewareOct 14, 2007 Well, in the end the desk came together, and I'm quite happy with it. Unfortunately, I had 4 camlock screws -- out of 8 total, and only 1 spare in the box -- disintegrate (the heads came off) with only hand-tightening. Really, I'm not that strong.
Luckily, I had rescued several similar screws from the flat-pack desk that I bought this one to replace. Once the desk was together, it's a good size for my small room and seems pretty solid (but I don't know how much of that is due to the replacement parts. Would it have been as stable with the weaker camlock screws that I had to replace?)
From reading other reviews, it seems that my experience was not the norm, but I wonder if Target has replaced some heavier duty hardware (steel, etc) with weaker, lighter aluminum (the broken camlock screws appeared to be aluminum alloy of some sort.) Builder beware.
