great seasonal solutionJun 27, 2010 I purchased these Fabric shades while I tried to figure out what to do with a very hot, western exposure sliing door in my kitchen. The way the sun comes around between 3:00 and 7:00 is brutal and my whole kitchen and downstairs bakes. We have a retractable awning on our deck outside, but the sun's angle still defeats that. It is totally energy inefficient and very annoying. We cannot sit at our table for dinner which is right in front of the door. I purchased these shades as a temporary solution while I explored my options. My husband is very much against putting any holes in the wood trim on our slider which is required of any other shade application, but didn't have a problem with these. If it weren't for the tacky clips that come with the shade to secure it in the up position, I would just leave them up the rest of this season and re-install them next summer. If there were u-clips it would be much more attractive.....these are like huge clothes pins. I have not tested the adhesive as far as removing and reapplying, but I will worry about that next year or just purchase new ones, since you cannot beat the price!! Maybe I will just leave this problem for the next owner if we sell our house. The other slight negative is that the shades do not run down the entire length of the door when down, which may have been my issue in not ordering the correct size....I do not remember if they are offered in differnet lengths. If you pull on them carefully, they do stretch out to fit almost the whole way, but you have to do that each time.
A very good product overall and a great, affordable solution for a lot of people with light or privacy issues.

DisappointedMar 25, 2010 I was hesitate between this one and a $20 roman shade from Bed Bath & Beyond for a weird size 2'by4' window of downstairs bathroom. Decided to go with this one based on reviews and free Prime shipping. The product to me is really cheap looking. It looks like a VERY temporary shade for a week or two. I don't like it at all.
Great Shade for the price. Perfect.Jan 13, 2010 I was looking for a cheap solution to window treatments. These shades were easy to put up and look great.

Great Blinds for Temporary Use! But be careful!Nov 24, 2009 My husband and I just moved into a hew house and I ordered a set of six blinds in order to ensure our privacy.
The blinds are great! They are easy to use, fairly easy to cut (I actually used my bread knife to do it)and they fit very well in the windows. Everyone who has seen them has commented that they look just like regular blinds.
** The only care I would suggest is when peeling off the cover to the sticky part - make sure you do not also peel off the glue with the plastic. I did that one time and almost ripped the blind apart. You have to peel carefully to make sure none of the glue is attached. Once it's clear, then it's very easy. Otherwise you run the risk of tearing the blind and/or not being able to actually use it.

Perfect for ApartmentAug 06, 2009 My boyfriend and I recently moved into an apartment with no blinds. He works nights, so he needs to sleep during the day. Even with the AC on the room wasn't cooling, so I saw these. They are perfect. I bought them for the bedroom first to check them out, despite the previous claim mine were shipped in a triangular box, the exact size of them (which i appreciated) They were easy to cut (marked with pencil, cut with utility knife i own) and we had them unpacked and hung in under 10 minutes. Light still gets in but it's cool and muted. They look fine (We actually got compliments from our family) The clips are fine for what they are,and we stretched them out to our 72" windows by clipping the end to the ledge on our window.
Overall great purchase, they were exactly what I expected. We are getting 3 more for the rest of the windows now!
