Two main compartment are big enough for a laptop or the largest text or notebooks. A third compartment has a ton of organizer pockets for pencils, calculator, keys, GPS, sticky notes, goodies, and yes, your iPod or MP3 player. Of course, we remembered the headphone port too. If 3 pockets isn't enough, we added a fourth mini-pocket for just about anything else. The shoulder straps include a very comfortable suspension strap system and are fully adjustable. The left shoulder strap has a cell pocket sewn onto it for quickie and easy access when you hear that custom ring. The zippers are heavy duty, will never break or snag and glide open and shut very smoothly. | | | Features: | |

Attractive price, but quality...less soJul 16, 2010 As I'm typing out this review, I have my backpack in front of me. I got it in November of last year, so it's less than a year old. I'm a high school student, so I do lug around a lot of stuff around in it. It has not withstood said treatment as well as I had hoped, after reading the glowing reviews on Amazon. There are several tears in the canvas. Everything else seems to have held up okay, so far. The zippers are fine. The padding on the straps is very comfortable and comes in handy a lot. Overall, though, if you are looking for long-term quality, I would not suggest purchasing this backpack. I think its lifespan is a couple years, at most. I would suggest L.L. Bean backpacks. My sister (also high-school age) owns one of those, and after three years, it's in better shape than mine.
Great quality backpackApr 23, 2010 This is a great backpack for much cheaper than its competitors. Plenty of pouches to store items and the bag stretches to accommodate a pretty hefty load. I'm amazed that something of this quality can be had for $25.

A great pack, but zippers not equal to the pack's capacityApr 17, 2010 I got this pack, based on the glowing reviews, for a recent educational tour of Italy and Greece. It served as my flight carry-on, overnight bag (twice) and tour carry-all from Rome to Athens. On the trip home it was stuffed with clothing to make space for souvenirs and reduce my suitcase's weight. It filled all of these roles admirably most of the time.
However, on several occasions, the zippers on the two largest sections split between the pulls. It was not difficult to realign the zippers and reclose the pack, but these unexpected failures were extremely inconvenient to me, my companions, and at least one flight attendant. I was fortunate to notice each time before anything could get lost.
I still recommend this pack, but watch the zippers!
Fine backpackMar 30, 2010 I wanted a no-frills backpack that wasn't expensive. This one's fine. We'll see how long it holds up, but it seems pretty sturdy. Zillions of compartments, heavy-duty zippers, comfy straps.
I loved it!Mar 26, 2010 This bag is great deal, many features and low price. Still the funny thing that whenever I pass Jewel Osco the security bill starts to sound but after couple of weeks it stopped, same issue with Barnes &nobles.
